3. IOW Richmond and Berkeley, respectively. There is a university in the latter but it is much smaller than PMU and regularly loses to them in football. (In the original posting alt-Berkeley was called Spinoza, in the long tradition of naming alt-Berkeleys after philosophers. But in a later vignette (which I can't find right now), we decided that Bernard Kramer's real estate development for his fellow veterans of the Rocky Mountain War was named after their organization, the Order of the Cincinnatti. This was necessitated (perhaps) by the fact that Sobel has a book in his bibliography published in Cincinnatti, whereas IOW Cincinnatti (called New Boston, Indiana in this timeline) would never have been named that -- IOW the Order of the Cincinnatti were Patriot veterans of the Revolution.)
