Galloway is the capital of the Confederation of Northern Vandalia, and also the confederation's largest city. Before the Vandalian separation of 1877, Galloway was the capital of the Confederation of Vandalia. David Lea's Vandalia in the C.N.A.: A History was published in Galloway in 1946.
