Maryland was one of the thirteen British colonies that engaged in the North American Rebellion. It was incorporated into the Southern Confederation of the Confederation of North America. Its capital is St. Mary.
Under the original Britannic Design, Maryland was to form part of the Central Confederation. When the Central was annexed to the Northern Confederation in the final version of the Design, Maryland was moved to the Southern. The significant Catholic minority in Maryland is mentioned in For Want of a Nail . . . as the only exception to Church of England domination of the S.C. (on page 58).
In For All Nails, Maryland is part of the Northern Confederation.
